Revolution in Children’s Bike Design: The Story of Elementbike

Over the past decade, the world of children’s and teenage bikes has undergone a significant transformation. What used to be seen as just a small transportation tool for play or exercise has now become a part of children’s lifestyles filled with stories, favorite characters, and strong visual identities. Elementbike, a local Indonesian brand, has been a pioneer in this revolution, successfully combining function, aesthetics, and storytelling in each of their products.

Elementbike has not only focused on the technical quality of bikes, but also built an impressive portfolio of characters. In recent years, they have partnered with renowned global brands such as Disney (Frozen & Princess), Pixar (Toy Story, Nemo, Cars), Universal (Jurassic World), and Sanrio (Hello Kitty & Cinnamoroll). The presence of these characters has turned bikes into more than just vehicles, but also a part of children’s imaginative world.

This year, Elementbike has taken a significant leap with two major steps that solidify its position at the top of the licensed children’s bike industry. First, they have officially obtained the exclusive license for iconic characters from Pokémon. And then, in a surprising turn of events in mid-2025, Elementbike also acquired the license from Warner Bros. for the Indonesia and Malaysia markets.

This means that Indonesian children will now be able to enjoy bikes with designs featuring Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, We Bare Bears, and legendary DC Comics characters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. The DC license will coincide with the release of the film “Superman: The Movie” on July 9, 2025, allowing Elementbike to celebrate and strategically attract superhero and pop culture fans.

Elementbike sees bikes not just as bikes but as a new way for children and families to experience adventure, imagination, and the spirit of superheroes in their daily lives. This shift in focus from aesthetics to emotional connection and aspirational values demonstrates how bike design can now be a form of self-expression for children. Elementbike continues to expand its product line to cater to the dynamic tastes of children, offering a variety of visual styles for different ages and genders.

The brand has proven that innovation is not just about technology, but also storytelling. By using bikes as a medium to bring the fictional world into real life, Elementbike has created a more enjoyable and meaningful biking experience.
