President Calls for Global Collaboration Among Indonesian Scientists

Deputy for Dissemination and Media Affairs at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), Noudhy Valdryno, highlighted President Prabowo Subianto’s dedication to enhancing the role of Indonesian scientists on a global scale. President Prabowo envisions increased cooperation between Indonesian researchers and international scientists to pave the way for the nation’s development. Valdryno stated that scientists are crucial in achieving the administration’s goal of 8 percent economic growth over the next five years through industrialization, technological advancement, and human capital development.

Valdryno emphasized that this vision is in line with Asta Cita, particularly the fourth pillar which focuses on human resource development, science, technology, education, health, sports, gender equality, and youth empowerment. To support scientific progress, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology is organizing the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) at Bandung Institute of Technology. This convention will bring together top scientific minds and academics, especially in STEM fields, to collaborate on advancing the nation.

With the theme “Science and Technology for Economic Growth and Equity,” KSTI 2025 aims to create a platform for academia, industry, government, media, and civil society to work together towards Indonesia’s transition into a high-value-added industrial economy. The event has attracted over 2,000 scientists from around the country, showcasing the strategic importance of KSTI in driving Indonesia’s scientific and technological advancements.
