Prestasi TNI di Parade Hari Bastille Paris Meraih Pujian Global

The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) made history on Monday morning (14 July) by leading France’s prestigious Bastille Day military parade along the iconic Champs-Élysées, Paris. This marked the first time in the history of Indonesia-France diplomatic relations that TNI troops were honored as the lead contingent in the annual military procession, commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations. A total of 260 TNI soldiers and 189 members of the combined military marching band delivered a precise, spirited, and vibrant performance. Their ceremonial uniforms featured helmets adorned with symbols representing Indonesia’s armed service branches, such as tigers, eagles, sharks, and seals.

The energetic appearance of the Indonesian contingent received enthusiastic applause from thousands of spectators, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, and the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Sabah. International media outlets focused their attention on the Indonesian participation, with leading French broadcasters and print and digital outlets highlighting Indonesia’s honored role in this year’s parade. Indonesia’s involvement was seen as a symbol of the deepening strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly within the Indo-Pacific framework.

Representatives from the Indonesian delegation noted that this recognition at the Bastille Day parade reflected Indonesia’s growing presence on the international stage. The parade also featured over 450 Indonesian troops, who led the formal procession following an aerial display by the Patrouille de France. Overall, Indonesia’s captivating performance in Paris garnered global praise and showcased the country’s strong presence in international affairs.
