Prabowo Warmly Welcomed by Brazilian President at Official Ceremony

President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia visited the Palácio do Planalto in Brasília for a state visit with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The atmosphere was solemn and dignified as President Prabowo arrived, greeted with military honors by President Lula. Dressed in a dark navy suit and traditional Indonesian peci, Prabowo saluted the Honor Guard of Brazil as he walked past. The Indonesian flag was raised alongside Brazil’s national flag while the national anthems of both countries were played, signifying respect for each other’s values and statehood.

After the welcoming ceremony, the two presidents exchanged a warm handshake, posed for photographs, and proceeded to meet with their delegations. President Prabowo was accompanied by senior Indonesian officials, including ministers and the Indonesian Ambassador to Brazil. The Brazilian side was represented by various ministers, a presidential adviser, and the Brazilian Ambassador to Indonesia.

A ceremonial performance by the Brazilian military band and mounted cavalry, who proudly flew the Indonesian flag from the palace balcony, added to the memorable visit. This symbolic moment highlighted the growing friendship between Indonesia and Brazil, both G20 and BRICS member states.
