In a video conference focusing on the development of renewable energy and expansion of oil production in East Java, Prabowo highlighted Indonesia’s efficient energy generation capabilities and efforts to streamline logistics chains.
The President emphasized the importance of energy independence in Indonesia’s vision for national sovereignty, outlining the government’s strategy to launch 55 new renewable energy projects, including geothermal power plants, to deliver clean and reliable energy across the nation. Prabowo praised the collaborative efforts of various ministries, regulatory bodies, and energy companies like Medco Energi and ExxonMobil in supporting Indonesia’s energy transformation.
While acknowledging the country’s abundant oil and gas reserves, Prabowo underscored the significance of renewable energy sources, particularly solar power, in ensuring energy self-sufficiency for communities throughout Indonesia.
