Ester Nenggokaka, a resident of Southwest Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, lives a simple life dedicated to providing for her two children despite facing challenges. She sells vegetables in the morning and cares for her family, showcasing resilience and determination. One of her children, Lorensius Aganta, was underweight at only 7 kilograms before benefiting from the Free Nutritious Meal (Makan Bergizi Gratis, MBG) program. Ester is grateful for the program, noting the positive impact on her son’s health. With regular MBG meal distributions, Ester has seen a positive change in her son’s weight and looks forward to his next health check at the local clinic. She receives a variety of nutritious foods like eggs, fish, meat, tofu, tempeh, and vegetables every morning to ensure her children have a balanced diet.
Despite facing challenges like no access to electricity or land ownership, Ester remains hopeful for a better future. She hopes for continued support from President Prabowo to improve their living standards. The meals from the MBG program bring comfort to Ester, nourishing her child and fueling optimism for the future.
