President Joko Widodo inaugurated several new officials within the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet on Monday, August 19, 2024. Rosan Perkasa Roeslani was appointed as the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and Hasan Nasbi as the Head of the Presidential Communication Office. The ceremony took place at the State Palace, Jakarta, marking a crucial part of the cabinet refreshment as the 2019-2024 term nears its end.
Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, a prominent businessman and diplomat, now leads investment and capital placement coordination in Indonesia. As the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM, Rosan is expected to enhance domestic investment flows, support economic growth, and create new job opportunities. His appointment is based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 92/P of 2024.
Hasan Nasbi was appointed as the Head of the Presidential Communication Office through Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 93/P of 2024. Hasan will play a crucial role in conveying government policies and programs to the public and maintaining communication between the government and the community.
President Jokowi’s commitment to strengthening his team with experienced individuals is evident in the appointment of these two figures. During the ceremony, President Jokowi led the oath of office taken by Rosan and Hasan, emphasizing integrity, responsibility, and commitment in their duties.
High-ranking officials, including Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and coordinating ministers Hadi Tjahjanto and Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan attended the inauguration event. Guests also extended their congratulations to the newly appointed officials.
