Jakarta — Indonesia’s Minister of Defense and President-elect for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo Subianto, met with President Joko Widodo to report on the results of his week-long working visit to Europe.
Prabowo arrived at the State Palace at 3:00 PM WIB on Friday, August 1, dressed in a brown safari suit, a black cap, and sunglasses. Upon his arrival, he took a moment to greet the media.
“Good afternoon, sir,” they greeted him.
Prabowo then explained his purpose for visiting the Palace, which was to report on his recent working visit to Paris, Serbia, Turkey, and Russia.
“I just arrived yesterday afternoon, so today I asked for some time with the President to report on my visit. After the Olympics opening, I had a one-on-one meeting with President Macron and visited several other countries,” Prabowo stated.
From July 24 to 31, 2024, Prabowo conducted a working visit to four countries, meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Yes, Russia, Turkey, Serbia, and Albania. Yes, I’m just reporting,” Prabowo concluded.
