FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Calon presiden potensial dari Koalisi Indonesia Maju (KIM) Prabowo Subianto menyatakan bahwa usia bukanlah faktor pertimbangan dalam memberikan kekuasaan kepada seseorang.
“I don’t think age is the criterion, but rather the passion and intentions. There are young people whose only intention is to have fun, and there are older people who live a hedonistic lifestyle,” said Prabowo when attending the declaration of young volunteers involved in Penerus Negeri at Djakarta Theater, Jakarta, on Saturday.
He admitted to granting authority to people who he believes have the ability and expertise.
“I don’t care about their background, who their parents are, their race, or their religion. If they are truly capable, passionate, and have good intentions, that is what I encourage. That has always been my stance and conviction,” he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Penerus Negeri volunteers who have declared their support for him.
Previously, hundreds of supporters of the potential presidential candidate-potential vice president Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who are part of the young volunteer group Penerus Negeri, gathered for a declaration coinciding with the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day. Present at the declaration were, among others, the Head of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team, Rosan Roeslani, the Deputy Head of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team, Bahlil Lahadalia, and the Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani.
During the event, the National Coordinator of Penerus Negeri, Pradana Indraputra, read out the declaration of support for Prabowo Subianto.
